Construction offices can be incredibly demanding and complex. They can only truly run efficiently if they have sufficient administrative structure and systems in place to manage each stage of the construction process, each of which is crucial to it's success! 

 

Many people succeed through large working hours and sheer determination versus streamline, efficient, step by step systems. These large working hours can result in high stress levels, vulnerability to mistakes, a feeling of never getting anywhere and increased financial burden.

There are so many different construction programs available and trying to understand what is going to work and what isn't is mind boggling. A lot of software that is actually affordable focuses on one specific area, eg. estimating, purchasing, selections, variations but doesn't incorporate everything. Including management of jobs (giving team members involved their tasks to complete for the week), or sufficient financial management and cashflow detail to help you know what money is coming in and going out. Is your job actually running to budget? How do you code your labour accurately and manage your variations, the list goes on and on.
